Season of the Construct, Season 3 of Diablo 4, is scheduled to begin on January 23, 2024, at 10 AM (PST).
During the BlizzCon 2023, a tantalizing preview was provided for the upcoming season of Diablo IV. This particular season will delve into the ancient technology known as Loom, originally crafted by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan of Caldeum beneath the sun-scorched lands of Kehjistan. However, this once noble creation has now been corrupted by the malevolent Demon Malphas.
To embark on this thrilling questline, players will need to create a fresh character on the Seasonal Realm and complete the Main Campaign, which can be skipped once the prologue is finished.
Gatehall, a bustling town nestled beneath Kehjistan, will serve as the new central hub for players. Guided by Ayuzhan, Zoltun's former companion, you will venture deep into the treacherous Vaults. These perilous chambers are brimming with elemental Hazards and Constructs that must be overcome in your mission to defeat Malphas.
The Vaults, a newly introduced type of specialized dungeon, serve as the creation of Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan themselves. These enigmatic chambers are filled with carefully designed elemental Hazards, presenting a challenge for daring adventurers.
Within the Vaults, players will encounter Constructs, an entirely new family of menacing monsters. These mechanical adversaries come in various elemental variations, lying in wait to ambush unsuspecting wanderers with their mechanical clutches.
Upon entering a Vault, players have the opportunity to obtain Zoltun's Warding by converting the required Pearls of Warding. This special layered blessing grants access to the hidden treasures within the Vaults. Each defeat in the Vault diminishes the stacks of Zoltun's Warding, but preserving them after defeating a boss allows players to unlock a Wardwoven Chest. This chest holds a higher chance of bestowing Legendary gear.
For those seeking an even greater challenge, Pearls of Warding can be used at the entrance of the Vault to exchange for additional stacks of Zoltun's Warding, increasing the risk. Successful ventures into these heightened dangers will yield increased rewards.
Upon reaching World Tier III, Nightmare Vaults become available, accompanied by the dropping of Vault Sigils alongside Nightmare Dungeon Sigils, adding further depth to the exploration of these perilous realms.
In Season 3, players can look forward to highly anticipated quality of life improvements, with one notable addition being the support for WASD key control on PC. This feature allows for more direct control over your heroes, which will prove particularly beneficial in navigating the perilous environments filled with deadly traps.
Furthermore, Season 3 introduces a range of competitive leaderboards through ladder-based trials known as The Gauntlet. Players will compete for high scores, with the most powerful among them earning a prestigious "permanent home in the Hall of the Ancients" and showcasing their accomplishments with medals on their profiles.
Additionally, players will receive an extra stash tab to accommodate their ever-growing collection of loot.
