The Marvel Rivals Winter Event is here, and it’s packed with festive fun, exclusive costumes, and exciting challenges. If you’re ready to dive into this winter wonderland, here’s everything you need to know to make the most of this event.
With the release of Season 0: Dooms' Rise, Marvel Rivals has captured the hearts of players worldwide. This inaugural season allowed fans to explore over 30 unique characters, discover their mains, and climb the Competitive Ranks. Players could also personalize their profiles with decorations, banners, and cosmetics through various methods like Battle Pass rewards, shop purchases, Twitch drops, and more.
Building on this success, Marvel Rivals introduces its first-ever in-game event—the Winter Celebration. This limited-time holiday event features a festive game mode, rewarding challenges, and a lineup of exclusive winter-themed costumes.
Marvel Rivals's Winter Event began on December 20, 2024 and expected to be end until January 9, 2025.
During this event, players can participate in a holiday-themed activity card to unlock exclusive winter rewards for Jeff the Land Shark, including a spray, a profile banner, an emote, a new skin. To earn these free items, players must collect Gold and Silver Frost, which are awarded by completing Winter Challenges. To complete it, you need to play a limited-time new game mode called Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival.
The centerpiece of the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration is the limited-time game mode, Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival. In this 4v4 team-based mode, players are restricted to playing as Jeff the Land Shark. The objective is straightforward yet thrilling: using your primary fire, work with your team to paint as much terrain as possible, reminiscent of gameplay in the Splatoon series. The team that manages to cover the highest percentage of the map emerges victorious.
In addition to Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival mode, Marvel Rivals also introduces several holiday-themed costumes to collect during the event. The first skins is Jeff the Land Shark – Fuzzy Cuddlefin, free as the final reward on the Winter event card, unlocked with 500 Frost points.
From December 20, 2024, to limited-time release January 10, 2025, Groot – Holiday Happiness and Rocket Raccoon – Wild Winter will also be available in the shop, which can be purchased individually or together through the Best Winter Buds bundle at a discounted price.
Later, on December 27, Venom – Snow Symbiote and Magik – Frozen Demon join the lineup in shop, for sale until January 17, 2025.
