Discover the Marvel Rivals ranking system, competitive mode mechanics, and the rewards you can earn. Learn how to climb the ranks and dominate the battlefield.

Marvel Rivals' ranked mode offers intense battles, where players must prove their skills against competitors of similar expertise. The journey starts at Bronze III, and with each victory, players earn points to progress through the divisions. However, teamwork is crucial, as losing matches results in point deductions and potential rank demotions.

The ranked mode unlocks at level 10, introducing players to competitive multi-round matches. Marvel Rivals features a structured ranking system with 23 divisions spanning nine ranks. Certain ranks introduce additional mechanics, such as rank decay and hero bans. Below is the complete ranking system:

  • Bronze III, II, I
  • Silver III, II, I
  • Gold III, II, I
  • Platinum III, II, I
  • Diamond III, II, I: At this tier, teams can ban two heroes before matches commence.
  • Grandmaster III, II, I
  • Celestial III, II, I
  • Eternity: Inactivity leads to gradual rank decay.
  • One Above All: Reserved for the top 500 players, where inactivity also results in point losses.

How Marvel Rivals Ranking Works

Players earn rank points by securing victories, with performance bonuses available for win streaks and MVP achievements. Every 100 points lead to a promotion to the next division, while excessive losses can result in demotions. Chrono Shields offer temporary protection against rank drops, but they have a recharge limit. Additionally, at the start of each new season, all players drop six divisions, requiring them to regain their previous rank.

Marvel Rivals Ranked Matchmaking Rules

No crossplay between PC and consoles. PlayStation and Xbox players can queue together, but PC players have separate matchmaking.

Rank-based queueing restrictions apply:

  • Bronze, Silver, and Gold players can team up without restrictions.
  • Gold I to Celestial I players must be within three divisions of each other to queue together.
  • Eternity and One Above All players can queue with Celestial II and I if their rank points difference is under 200.
