Learn about Marvel Rivals currencies: Lattice, Chrono Tokens, and Units. Discover how to earn and use them to enhance your gameplay experience.
While Marvel Rivals gives you access to all characters from the start, you still need to use exclusive currencies to unlock a variety of items. Currently, the game offers three main types of currency: Lattice, Chronos Tokens and Units. This article is to help you understand the uses and how to earn each currency in Marvel Rivals. If you don’t want to miss out on any opportunities to earn them, read on to discover everything to know about this system.
Lattice is the premium currency in Marvel Rivals, obtained by purchasing it with real money from the in-game Store. Every individual 100 Lattice costs you $0.99, but 11,680 Lattices cost $99.99 because the bundles provide bonus Lattice. Moreover, small amounts can be earned via the Luxury tiers of Battle Pass.
There are 3 tiers of Battle Pass in Marvel Rivals: Free, Luxury and Upgraded Luxury. Lattice is used to purchase seasonal Battle Passes, with the luxury version costing 990 Lattice and the upgraded luxury version costing 2,100 Lattice. Players can convert Lattice into Chrono Tokens and Units but not the other way around. Gifting skins to friends also requires Lattice.

Chrono Tokens are the currency used to unlock Battle Pass rewards in Marvel Rivals. Each tier in the Battle Pass costs 200 Chrono Tokens to unlock. To progress, you must unlock rewards page by page. You cannot skip ahead to later pages.
Please note that Chronos Tokens expire at the end of each season. If you forget to spend them, the game will automatically use them on unclaimed rewards. Any remaining tokens will be deleted.
Players earn Chrono Tokens mostly by completing Daily Missions, Weekly Missions, Event Missions, and Achievements. Occasionally, Twitch Drops and promotional events also reward extra Chrono Tokens. Some choose to convert from Lattice. However, since Chrono Tokens are fairly easy to earn by playing the game, spending Lattice is not the most cost-effective choice.
Units are the most commonly used currency in Marvel Rivals. They are used to purchase cosmetic items, hero skins, and the Battle Pass in the in-game store.
You can earn Units by completing daily missions, achievements, and rewards in the Battle Pass. Occasionally, special events can also reward you with Units. You can exchange Lattice for Units with the conversion rate is 1 Lattice = 1 Unit. Chrono Tokens at a rate of 1000 Tokens = 100 Units only if you meet both conditions:
Typically, you’ll need about 1,500 Units to purchase a hero skin and around 2,000 Units for a store bundle. Since Units are earned by playing the game, you can easily get at least one skin for free over time. However, to unlock premium skins or bundles, you may need to top up with Lattice.
