Learn how to earn Credits in Rocket League through buying, Rocket Pass Premium, and trading. A straightforward guide to help you get Credits in the game.
Credits are Rocket League’s premium currency, used to unlock cosmetic items or upgrade to Rocket Pass Premium. You can’t get it just by playing. It can only be achieved in three ways:
Purchasing with real money in the game store
Progressing through Rocket Pass tiers
Trading with other players.
In this article, we’ll provide a straightforward guide on how to earn Credits through all available methods, helping you get the most value from your investment.
The simplest way to get Credits is through the in-game store. The buying process works the same across all supported platforms, including PS4, PS5 Nintendo Switch, Xbox. Here’s how you can do it step by step:
Launch the game on your device
Select Item Shop on the main menu
Click on the Buy Credits button in the bottom left corner
Select the amount of Credits you want to buy.
Click Purchase to go to your platform’s checkout system.
Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the transaction.
The new Credits balance will appear in the top-right corner of the Item Shop.
If you want to achieve Credits in this way, you need to purchase the Premium version of Rocket Pass, which costs 1000 Credits (approximately $10). Once purchased, rewards become available at every tier. As you play and gain XP, your Rocket Pass levels up. Each time you level up, you get a reward. Some tiers give you Credits directly.
If you complete enough levels, you can get back all the Credits used to buy the pass. That means you get both rewards and the chance to reuse those Credits for the next season. This method works well for regular players who want a steady way to earn Credits without making additional purchases.
You can get Credits by trading with other players by offering an item you have, and someone gives you Credits in return. To be eligible to trade, you must have an account created before the game went free-to-play, be level 30 and have purchased at least 500 Credits with real money. Additionally, your account must be enabled 2FA.
Not all items can be traded. Eligible items include revealed blueprints, items crafted from blueprints, free drops, event items, and Rocket Pass rewards (both Free and Premium tiers). Items bought directly from the in-game store and unrevealed blueprints cannot be traded.
Once your account meets the requirements, follow these steps to trade:
Invite the player you want to trade with to your party.
Open the trade window and select the items or Credits you want to offer.
The other player selects their Credits in return.
Review the trade. If either side changes an item after confirmation, the confirmation resets.
When both sides agree, confirm the trade to complete it.
Credits in Rocket League can be earned by buying with real money, progressing in Rocket Pass Premium, and trading with other players. If you prefer a straightforward option, buying Credits is quick and secure. If you play regularly, Rocket Pass Premium lets you earn Credits over time. And if you have valuable items, trading gives you a flexible way to exchange for Credits without extra cost. Choose the method that fits your playstyle and goals. With the right approach, you can collect Credits steadily and make the most out of your Rocket League experience.
