There are multiple ways to make Gems in Brawl Stars. Some require you to open your wallet, remaining are free. Choosing which ones depend on your goals and preferences. Here are all possible methods to earn Gems:
Complete Quest
Progress in Trophy Road
Unlock tiers in Brawl Pass
Unlock tiers in Pro Pass
Claim Daily Login Streak
Open Brawl Boxes
Join Event’s Challenges
Purchase through in-game shop or Supercell Store.
Each approach offers a unique gem reward and demands different amounts of time and effort. By combining these strategies effectively, you can boost your gem total significantly.
Quests can earn you rewards, sometimes those rewards include free Gems. Though it requires you to put in a little effort, it’s definitely worth it. Quests become available once you reach 60 Trophies. You can check your quests by tapping the ‘Quest’ button in the bottom-left corner of the main screen, or from the ‘Quests’ tab at the top of the Brawl Pass page. There are many types of quests:
Daily Quest
Season Quest
Daily Quests refresh every day and offer quick, fun challenges, while Season Quests unlock once you reach 250 Trophies and only appear every Tuesday and Thursday, and stay active for the entire Season. Pay attention to your quest list and try to complete them every day.
Trophy Road is a progression path located at the top left of the main screen. It has milestone points that give out rewards, sometimes even free Gems. To reach these milestones, players need to win matches and collect Trophies. So keep battling and watch your Trophy count grow.
Brawl Pass is a seasonal progression system with three reward tracks: Free, Braw Pass and Braw Pass Plus. As you level up the Brawl Pass, you unlock rewards at each tier. Gems are specifically rewarded at tiers 8, 18, 28, 38, and 42. Each tier gives you 10 Gems. That’s 50 Gems just from the free track.
If you purchase the premium tracks, which cost $6.99 for Brawl Pass and $9.99 for Brawl Pass Plus, you get an additional 10 Gems at each of these tiers. This means premium users can collect up to 150 Gems per season. It’s one of the most consistent ways to earn Gems over time, especially if you’re active every season.
Similar to the Braw Pass, the Pro Pass has a free track for everyone and a premium track you can unlock by paying $24.99. On the free track, you can earn a total of 50 Gems by reaching the following tiers: 14, 21, 34, 41, 54, 61, 74, 81, 94, and 98. Each of these tiers grants 5 Gems.
If you purchase the paid Pro Pass, you gain access to significantly more rewards. You can earn up to 600 Gems through multiple tiers that offer 5 or 10 Gems each.
The Daily Login Streak is a feature that rewards players for logging into the game regularly. It becomes available after you reach 15 Trophies. Players will claim a reward every 23 hours, continuously for 60 days. During this cycle, players can earn Gems on Day 5 and Day 19, with 3 Gems each. That totals 6 free Gems every 60 days.
If you miss a day, you can either reset to Day 2 or spend Gems to keep the streak going. This choice doesn’t affect your rewards. To stay on track, try to log in daily.
Trophy Boxes are special reward boxes earned by collecting Season Trophies throughout the current Brawl Pass season. There are five types of Trophy Boxes: Small, Big, Mega, Omega, and Ultra.
Each box has a chance to reward either 3 or 100 Gems. The higher the box tier, the better the chance of getting Gems. Although we’re not guaranteed to receive Gems every time, this is a reliable way to get free Gems for regular players.
Occasionally, Brawl Stars hosts special in-game challenges tied to events, especially for seasonal celebrations like Christmas, Halloween, and Easter. These challenges often reward Brawl Boxes upon completion.
Recent examples include Deadgame Event for Halloween, which awarded 10 free Dead Boxes containing Gems among more different things. Although not every challenge guarantees Gems, participating in these events is still a good way to increase your chances of earning Gems while playing.

You can buy Gems directly from the in-game shop or through the Supercell Store. Buying Gems from the Supercell Store can be more beneficial because it offers 10% more Gems compared to purchases made inside the game. Sometimes special deals pop up that provide even better value.
Each season, the Supercell Store also gives 10 free Gems without any purchase. Make sure to claim these free Gems every season to maximize your rewards.
Getting Gems in Brawl Stars can be done in many ways, from playing regularly, completing challenges to purchasing them through the official store. Whether you prefer free methods or are willing to invest a little, understanding these options will help you make the most of your gameplay.
