If Discord is no longer something you need or want to spend time on, removing your account completely might be a simple way to let go. There are two ways to delete your account, you can either do it yourself through the User Settings in the Discord app, or you can submit a deletion request directly to Discord, but this can take up to 14 days. Before proceeding, you must first remove any servers you own or transfer ownership to someone else. Without this step, Discord won’t allow you to delete your account. This guide shows you step-by-step on how to delete your Discord server.
After clearing all server ownership, here’s how to delete your account on your iPhone, iPad, Android and computer.
Go to User Settings by clicking on the cogwheel icon in the bottom-left corner.
The My Account page will open. Scroll down and click the Delete Account button. Tap Disable Account if you just want to take a break from Discord temporarily.
Enter your password. If you’ve 2FA enabled, you’ll also be asked to enter a six digit code.
Tap Okay to confirm.
Tap your profile avatar at the bottom-right corner of the app.
Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
Select Account from the menu.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account. If you just want to leave for a while, consider selecting Disable Account, you can restore your account at any time by logging back in.
Enter your password, and your 2FA code if required.
Tap Okay.
In case you’ve lost access to your account or are unable to delete it through the app, submitting a support ticket to Discord is an alternative method that leads to the same result.

Enter all required information including your email address linked to your Discord account, subject and description. Fill in the Subject field with Account Deletion.
Select Account Deletion Request in the Type of Question box
Click Submit. Your request will be sent to Discord.
Discord will send a confirmation message to the email you provided. Once confirmed, the deletion process can take up to 14 days, and your account data will be completely deleted within 30 days.
Important Notes:
Delete directly in the Discord app will give you 14 days to change your mind. Logging back in during this time will cancel the request.
However, if you submit a deletion request through Discord Support, the process is irreversible. Once processed, your account cannot be recovered. Make sure you’re certain before proceeding.
After you submit an account deletion request, you'll be logged out right away. Your username changes to Deleted User#0000 and enters a 14-day pending deletion period. During this time, your friends won’t see your profile, status, or name in their friend list. Messages you’ve sent in servers and DMs stay visible but are labeled under “Deleted User”.
If you log in again within 14 days, the deletion is canceled and your account is restored. After 14 days, Discord permanently deletes your account and clears personal data. At that point, recovery is no longer possible.
