The Clash of Clan Characters you need to know to build a powerful army. Details Here!

Clash of Clans, developed by Supercell, is a popular mobile strategy game that has captured the hearts of millions of players worldwide. One of the key elements that make this game exciting and engaging is the diverse range of characters available to players. In this article, we will introduce you to some of the most iconic Clash of Clans characters.

The main characters of Clash of Clans

Barbarians:

The Barbarian is the initial unit unlocked in the barracks. It is depicted as an enraged man with a battle-ready expression, sporting yellow hair and a long yellow mustache. The Barbarian wears a brown kilt with a leather belt and an iron shield-shaped buckle. Adorning spiked wristbands on both arms, the Barbarian wields a short sword in his right hand and dons sandals on his feet. As the Barbarian progresses, it gains a headband at level 3, a Viking helmet at level 5, and a sharper sword and mighty horned helmet at level 6.

Archers:

Archers are ranged units portrayed as females with pink hair and sharp eyes. They wear light green dresses with belts that have small attached bags. A golden ring adorns their shoulder, and their arrow flights feature pink feathers. Archers do not have preferred targets and attack any enemy within their range.

Goblins:

Goblins are the swiftest characters in the game. Their initial targets are resource buildings, making them ideal troops for collecting resources during raids. They deal double damage to resource buildings such as gold mines, elixir collectors, and storages. Consequently, Goblins inflict more than twice the damage of Barbarians and three times the damage of Archers against these types of structures. However, Goblins have relatively low health, higher than Archers but lower than Barbarians. As Goblins prioritize attacking resource buildings over defenses, they can be vulnerable and should not be deployed without other supporting troops.

Giants:

Giants are large, resilient troops capable of absorbing substantial damage. However, they deal minimal damage in return. Giants primarily target defensive structures, making them effective at debilitating a village when deployed in large groups. Due to their high health, players often deploy them first to shield weaker yet more offensive troops from defensive attacks.

Wall Breakers:

Wall Breakers resemble small skeletons wearing brown aviator hats, with a small scar across their right eye. They carry large bombs and attack by sprinting directly toward the nearest wall, detonating themselves kamikaze-style. Wall Breakers deal splash damage to surrounding enemies and inflict 40 times the damage to walls. They continue attacking walls until all are destroyed, even if there are no walls nearby. As Wall Breakers level up, the size of the bomb they carry increases. At level 3, the bomb becomes larger, and at level 5, the Wall Breaker's bomb turns golden.

Balloons:

Balloons are slow-moving aerial units that unleash devastating splash damage upon ground targets. Similar to Giants, Balloons prioritize attacking defensive structures.

Wizards:

Wizards are magical units wearing blue cloaks that change according to their level. They also wear leather belts with golden buckles and brown boots. Like Archers, Wizards employ ranged attacks and can shoot over walls. They cast fireballs that deal high damage, but due to their relatively low hitpoints, they require support to avoid being easily killed by defenses.

Healers:

Healers are flying units possessing no attack abilities. Instead, they rapidly heal any injured ground units, except when defending, in which case they heal damaged buildings. When deployed, a halo appears around Healers. If all units have full health, Healers remain idle. However, should a unit sustain damage from a defense, Healers will fly over and initiate healing. It's important to note that Healers do not heal other flying units like other Healers, Dragons, or Balloons, nor do they heal themselves.

Dragons:

Dragons are formidable flying units capable of terrorizing both ground and air targets. Unlike Balloons, which also fly, Dragons possess a ranged attack similar to that of Archers.

PEKKA:

The P.E.K.K.A is the ultimate troop unlocked in the barracks. It boasts the strongest armor and damage of any unit in the game, but it is also the most expensive. The P.E.K.K.A features purple crystal spikes growing on its side and wields a sword. At level 3, the P.E.K.K.A's armor color changes from dark blue to black, giving it a more formidable appearance.

Baby Dragons:

Baby Dragons are small tanks that inflict minimal damage. They are primarily used to clear buildings outside the base. Additionally, Baby Dragons possess a special ability: when no troops surround them, they become enraged, performing all actions three times faster.

Miners:

Miners are swift troops capable of digging under walls without receiving any damage. They excel at destroying buildings near the Town Hall, allowing other troops to focus on eliminating surrounding defenses. Miners are unlocked at Barrack level 12.

Electro Dragons:

The Electro Dragon ranks among the top troops in the game due to its powerful lightning strikes. It unleashes lightning bolts from its mouth, damaging multiple buildings around its target. Additionally, the Electro Dragon boasts high health and resilience, making it challenging to eliminate. However, when defeated, it leaves behind three lightning strikes at its place of demise, causing further destruction.

Yeti:

The Yeti is one of the largest tanks in the game but is relatively slow. While the Yeti inflicts significant damage, its primary role goes beyond offense. Carrying a large bag on its back filled with agile yetimites, the Yeti releases them upon reaching its destination. These yetimites scatter across the base and, when grouped together, deal substantial damage to structures.

Dragon Riders:

The Dragon Rider is a recent addition to the game. This troop possesses exceptional speed and agility, allowing it to swiftly move between targets. Although it doesn't deal significant damage individually, the Dragon Rider leaves a substantial bomb upon its demise. This bomb can be used to break open walls or inflict damage to nearby structures, providing tactical advantages. Players can unlock the Dragon Rider from Barrack level 1.

Minions:

Minions are small but agile troops that excel when deployed in large groups. These flying units swiftly navigate the base, hurling mini cannonballs at their targets. When utilized effectively, Minions can make a significant impact in dismantling the enemy base.

Hog Riders:

The Hog Rider holds a special place among my favorite ground units. With the ability to leap over walls, it is incredibly fast and efficient. Its primary focus is on targeting defense buildings, dealing substantial damage to them. Many players utilize Hog Riders as a distraction, allowing heavier damage-dealing units to focus on demolishing buildings.

Valkyries:

The Valkyrie is a formidable mini tank that wields an axe to unleash devastating damage. With each swing, anything within reach of her weapon falls victim to her relentless assault. Unlocking the Valkyrie requires reaching Dark Barrack level 3.

Golems:

The Golem stands as a colossal tank with exceptional durability but lower damage output. Its immense health pool makes it an excellent defensive unit. When defeated, the Golem splits into two mini Golems. If upgraded beyond level 6, these two mini Golems further divide into four upon their demise.

Witches:

The Witch harnesses powerful magic, shooting spells from her hands that impact both ground and air troops. With her staff, she can even resurrect skeletons that rise from the ground to aid in battle.

Lava Hounds:

The Lava Hound reigns as the largest unit in the game, boasting unparalleled health. However, its damage output is relatively low. When defeated, the Lava Hound splits into six smaller Lava Pups, which possess greater speed and deal more damage than their parent.

Bowlers:

The Bowler serves as another sturdy tank, hurling massive rocks at buildings to inflict significant damage. It is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Unlocking the Bowler requires reaching Dark Barrack level 6.

Ice Golems:

The Ice Golem moves at a slow pace and possesses limited offensive capabilities. However, its attacks freeze everything it strikes momentarily. Additionally, upon its demise, everything in its vicinity becomes frozen for a duration of 10 seconds.

Headhunters:

The Headhunter is a lightning-fast unit capable of leaping over buildings. While it cannot damage buildings, it excels in targeting and eliminating enemy troops. Moreover, it possesses the ability to heal friendly troops, making it an invaluable support unit.

Barbarian King:

The Barbarian King stands taller and stronger than any Giant. Crafted from Dark Elixir, this mighty unit brings chaos to enemy villages. The Barbarian King is an immortal unit, only needing to be trained once. However, if he falls in battle, he must regenerate his health by entering a sleep state before being deployed again. Attacking a Barbarian King during his regeneration period will find his altar empty. Unlocking the Barbarian King requires a Barbarian King Altar, which costs 10,000 Dark Elixir.

Archer Queen:

The Archer Queen, like the Barbarian King, is an immortal unit that needs training only once. However, after sustaining damage in battle, she must regenerate before being used again. The duration of her regeneration sleep depends on the amount of health she has remaining at the end of the battle. If she remains undamaged, she is ready for combat immediately. However, if she falls in battle, she must sleep for the full regeneration time as indicated.
